Still unsure if Telemedicine is right for you? See some frequently asked questions about telemedicine below and learn more about how it can benefit your family.
What do I need for my online visit?
Internet access, a web camera and a microphone are necessary to use our online portal. You can use our telemed portal on your tablet, computer or smart phone! Whichever device you use, please ensure you are using Google Chrome or Firefox as your web browser. If you don't have internet access at home, you can use a local Wi-Fi in a quiet area.
How do I schedule a telemedicine appointment?
Create an account through our telemedicine portal and you will be sent to a dashboard where you can request to meet with a provider.
How much does Telemedicine cost?
Online doctor visits vary in price depending on your health insurance coverage. In most cases, insurance covers some of the cost leaving you a small copay. However, we've done all that we can to create the most affordable prices possible for your visit, whether or not you have insurance. We promise you will never pay more than $50 for an online consultation.
Will my insurance cover a telemedicine appointment? How do I pay?
We accept most insurance providers through our system and will submit claims on your behalf. Submitted claims are subject to your personal plan details. Coverage is determined based on your available benefits on the date that services are provided.
Our portal accepts all major credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, American Express & Discover.
Can I schedule at any time? How long until I see the doctor?
We treat your online visit as if you were here in person. Therefore, we can accept and treat you during the following normal business hours. We do accept same day appointments as first come first serve. Our current wait times can be found on our home page.
- Monday - Friday: 7am - 7pm
- Saturday - Sunday: 9am - 5pm
Why choose Lanier Urgent Care Telemedicine over others?
If you use any other Telemedicine service you run the risk of paying twice. If your symptoms are too serious you will be told to go to your nearest Urgent Care and you will pay for both visits.
With Lanier Urgent Care Telemedicine if your symptoms are too serious for treatment, whatever you paid for the online visit will be applied toward a visit in our office! Also, you will get to know our Staff who take care of you. Never will you be guessing which random doctor, from who knows where, will be treating you or your family.
Can I get a prescription?
Yes, we can electronically send in prescriptions to your preferred pharmacy. However, we do not guarantee prescriptions. Each patient is evaluated and the appropriate course of treatement is provided by our clinicians.
Can anyone use Telemedicine?
Yes. From busy parents to college students to travelers who are in Georgia for the weekend.
